Reflections Of The A2Z Blogging Challenge
This was my fourth successful attempt at the month long April A to Z Blogging challenge the first being in the year 2014, followed by ones in 2018 and 2019. Looking back I am glad I took the plunge despite all my initial apprehensions.
This time too, I decided to participate only a few days before the theme reveal. What pushed me to do it was the intense desire to get back to writing. Little did I realise that it was probably the best decision I took. Getting back to my blog has always been an escape for me.
The day to day grind of parenting two children during this pandemic literally leaves me with no spare time. The only way to push myself was to participate in a challenge, knowing very well that I wouldn’t quit no matter what. Thankfully I managed to schedule more than half my posts and that was definitely a life saver. I doubt I would be able to make it if I hadn’t planned ahead.
My theme this year was Book Reviews. Choosing a theme this year was easy, as it was an idea I had been mentally playing with since 2019. This was my initial idea for the 2020 challenge, but I was unable to participate last year, so here we are with an A to Z of Book Reviews.
What I thought would be an impossible task to complete, ended up being the time of day I looked forward to eagerly. Instead of adding to my already stressful day, researching and writing the posts proved to be a powerful tranquilizer! It definitely prevented me from spending my time doomscrolling and helped take my mind off this pandemic. I’ve drowned myself in books since this pandemic broke to preserve my sanity. What better way to participate than to review some of the book that I read.
Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to visit the other blogs like I had originally planned, or also reply back to many comments on my posts, which I will do soon! But I have signed up for the “Roadtrip” which basically means I will drop by the other blogs over the year! I did get a glimpse at so many wonderful posts that I’ve earmarked for reading at leisure.
Many thanks to the Blogging from A to Z Challenge team and Blogchatter team. Also to everyone, who took the time to read my posts and like or leave a comment. Congratulations to all the other survivors! Hope to see you all for the next round in 2022!
